Patryk, Julia and Paulina, three master students of the NCU, as well as Ola, Karina and Dominika, three PhD students of the NCU completed a short project of 6 months (July 2024-December 2024) in our laboratory. Their project focused on the role of non-covalent interactions in the formation of supramolecular assemblies and the phenomenon of single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations and was financed by Sonata Bis, NCN.

Simran gave an oral presentation at 34th European Crystallographic Meeting (ECM34) held in Padova, Italy from 26-08-24 to 30-08-24. The title of the presentation was 'SCSC transformations, supramolecular isomerism, and isostructurality in metal complexes based on a new bipodal ligand'.

Renny presented an oral and a poster presentation in the 3rd International Conference on Noncovalent Interactions, Belgrade, Serbia, 17-6-2024 to 21-6-2024. The title of the presentation was 'Structural diversity of anthraquinone-substituted p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene in partial cone conformation upon external triggering'

Simran completed a one-month internship in the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India from 30-10-2023 to 28-11-2023.

Renny presented a Oral (flash) and poster presentations in the 11th Meeting of the Young Crystallographers at Rigaku co-organised by German Society for Crystallography, Neu-Isenburg, Germany, October 2024 . The title of the presentation was 'Conformational diversity and structural dynamics of O-alkylated p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene'.

Renny presented a poster presentation in the 34th European Crystallographic Meeting, Padova, Italy, 26-30 August 2024. The title of the presentation was 'Conformational diversity of tetra-O-ethyl-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene and its molecular dynamics in the single-crystal unity'.

Simran gave an oral presentation at XVII Copernican Doctoral Seminar held in Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland from 06-06-24 to 07-06-24. The title of the presentation was 'Temperature, concentration, solvent, and time as factors controlling the polymorphic outcome'.

Paul completed a 2 months internship in the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium, during August and September 2023. He performed the synthesis of brand-new 1,2,3-triazoles based ligands that will be used later in his PhD studies to obtain MOFs.

Prof. Wim Dehaen (KU Leuven, Belgium) and Prof. Clive Oliver (UCT, SA) visited us and our laboratory from the 16th to the 20th of September 2024. Both had the opportunity to present their work to the faculty.

Paul presented a poster presentation in the 34th European Crystallographic Meeting, Padova, Italy, 26-30 August 2024. The title of the presentation was 'Supramolecular isomerism in coordination polymers of Cd(II) with an imidazole based dipodal ligand'

Renny completed one month internship at KU Leuven, Belgium (1-5-2024 to 30-5-2024). Two hetero pillararene derivatives were synthesized and characterized by NMR (solution) and mass spectrometry.
