Simran gave an oral presentation at XVII Copernican Doctoral Seminar held in Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland from 06-06-24 to 07-06-24. The title of the presentation was 'Temperature, concentration, solvent, and time as factors controlling the polymorphic outcome'.

Paul completed a 2 months internship in the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium, during August and September 2023. He performed the synthesis of brand-new 1,2,3-triazoles based ligands that will be used later in his PhD studies to obtain MOFs.

Renny presented a poster in the 64th Polish Crystallography Congress 2023 - Wrocław, Poland on 7-7-2023. The title of the presentation was “Polymorphism and conformational diversity of tetra-O-ethyl-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene”

Our group has become part of 'Group of Crystal Engineering and Advanced Solid-State Characterization'. Which is a part of "Excellence Initiative - Research University" (IDUB) program and it is led by dr hab. Liliana Dobrzańska, prof. NCU.

Renny completed one month internship at KU Leuven, Belgium (1-5-2024 to 30-5-2024). Two hetero pillararene derivatives were synthesized and characterized by NMR (solution) and mass spectrometry.

Renny presented an oral presentation in the 65th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society “PTChem”-Torun, Poland on 20-8-2023. The title of the presentation was 'Polymorphism of homothiacalix[4]arene: an adaptable macrocycle'

Simran attended and presented a poster in 8th European Crystallography School (ECS8), held in Berlin, Germany from 18-06-23 to 24-06-23. The title of the presentation was 'Polymorphism in a flexible molecule 1,4-bis-(thiopyridine)benzene.'

Renny completed one month internship at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland during the month of September 2022. He performed synthesis of a series of resorcinarene macrocycles.

Simran completed a one-month internship in the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India from 30-10-2023 to 28-11-2023.

Simran presented and received the best oral presentation in the 65th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society “PTChem”-Torun, Poland on 20-09-2023. The title of the presentation was "Tailoring the dimensionality of metal complexes via ligand modifications"

Paul joined our group officially as a PhD student in 2022. He will do research on the "Porous materials based on coordination polymers containing multipodal ligands bearing 1,2,3-triazole units."
